Ice baths (water temperature around 0 degrees) can help effectively reduce the central nervous system fatigue, reduce cardiovascular pressure, increase parasympathetic nerve activity, reduce the EIMD (exercise-induced muscle damage), reduce DOMS(delayed onset muscle soreness), and under the hot environments for some certain conditions, pre-cooling for certain sports can help reduce core temperature after exercise.

Although the ice bath (water temperature of about 0 degrees) has the above advantages, the storage of ice cubes, the amount of use and the complicated situation to control the temperature of the ice bath have brought certain challenges to the overall promotion of the ice bath. In this case, the ultra-low temperature cold water bath (water temperature around 5 degrees), as a therapy with similar functions, easy to carry, and more efficient, is becoming more and more popular in the world.

Till this moment, GreatPool have developed two standardize model of ultra-low temperature cold water chiller / ice bath machinery (customized design & development ultra-low temperature cold water chiller / ice bath machinery is also available), which is GTHP055HSP-I, with rated cooling capacity of 2.01KW, the minimal outlet water temperature could reach 5 degrees, and the second model is GTHP-001SA-I, with rated cooling capacity of 0.85KW, but the minimal outlet water temperature could reach 2 degrees. The two models have already entered the market in USA and Europe.
